A clock
I always lose track of time while playing GW, I go on for 5mins and stay for an hour! Anyway was thinking it would be a good idea to have a clock in game, which would show the real time. I know you can play it in a window, and see the windows clock but I like playing it full screen. Another game I play loads, Soldier of Fortune 2 has one and you forget its there till you need to look.
It could even show your game time as well, so you don't have to type /age For people that don't want it they could just turn it off...
Anyone else think its a good idea? Don't have ago at me im a newbie

Elena that /time is a good idea! Better still would be pressing F10 brings up a small clock (dont read that wrong )

This would be nice...I might stop 'accidentally' playing until 3-4am. I sometimes keep a clock next to the computer...but I find that I rarely ever look away from the screen and forget that it's there. Currently, the only reliable notification of when I've been playing too late is my sleepy-eyed wife showing up in my office to glare at me.
/time would be nice, it should display the current time in GMT. I suppose you could have a time zone setting for your account in Options, but GMT only works for me. Used to converting from GMT anyway. That'd also be useful to help schedule things between people in different time zones.

The time should just be what ever it is on your computer. Cant be that hard for them, to make the game read from the system clock
Maybe when you press F10 its shows a window like the "party" one, it could have the real time and a GW time, which is standard across all the servers. They could then have events, like the wintersday stuff, happen at a certain GW time! That way people would know when its happening
You could have hours played on it as well, but 3 clocks may make it look too much...

Oh yeah, duh. That'd be easy enough. I should probably keep all my computers on GMT anyway.

After each hour have the clock grow larger and larger until it takes up the entire screen and a pop up informs you to "Stop playing and go take a shower...You stink!"

zsnes has an in-game clock, and once I got used to it, I really missed it in all other games. This would be a great option, seeing as how it's very time-consuming for a lot of people. /signed!

I myself have been suggesting this for a long time. The clock should be an optional thing to have on the screen and it should have the ablility to show your own time and the GWT (Guild Wars Time). Having a GWT would make it a lot simpler to arrange meetings with other people around the world.
An alarm clock would also be very nice. It isn't fun to realise you just played 3 hours of GW when you should have met your girlfriend an hour ago.

no...this idea is good, just not comprehensive. I think rather we need a Guild wars time and OUR time comparison.
GW Time : ___:___
Your time:____:___
Playing Time Today:__:__

Well having a guild wars time would kinda conflict with that eternal daytime thing they got going on in Tyria.
GW time 3:30 am.
"Wtf its 3:30 in the morning and the sun is shining?"

I agree. This would stop all those "what time is it in my time zone when it's happening in GWT 12:00!!111!1one!!1 questions. Those get really annoying whenever there's going to be an event.
